About 1983

Step into 1983, a neighborhood American restaurant rooted in Tampa Bay pride and built on family tradition. The name “1983” comes from the birth year of twin brothers Chas and Kyle Bruck, Tampa natives whose roots run deep in the community. The concept pays tribute to their upbringing and the city that shaped them—blending the warmth of a local gathering spot with the sophistication and polish of a modern dining destination.

“1983 was created to be more than just a restaurant—it’s a place where friends and families come to gather,” says owner Chas Bruck. “We set out to build a neighborhood social space that brings people together—whether you’re enjoying a casual meal inside, relaxing on the patio while the kids play, or grabbing a quick bite to go. Our goal is for 1983 to become a true neighborhood favorite.”

1983 is furnished into multiple distinct spaces that offer a dining experience for every patron. Grab a seat on the patio for the perfect Florida evening and enjoy a cozy backyard vibe, including fun and games in our turf lawn with a putting green, ping pong, and fire tables. Kids and adults can head inside the ’83 game room featuring golf simulators and many arcade favorites, ticketed prize rewards, and claw machines.

Our main dining room presents a vibrant yet comfortable atmosphere inspired by mid-century country clubs and classic Americana with an elevated feel. Framed TVs showcase live sports and curated visuals that celebrate Tampa’s golden eras, setting the tone for a space that feels both familiar and fresh. For those interested in experiencing live events, our Bluetooth listening service is available on every TV with our ’83 game room, allowing everyone at the table to enjoy their favorite game while still engaging in conversation with friends and family.

The menu celebrates classic American fare done right—comfort food favorites reimagined with bold flavors, fresh ingredients, and a touch of local flair. From signature burgers utilizing our own Steelbach beef program, large salads, shareable flatbreads, our signature Chicken Tender Tower and wings, and a Martini Tower, to craft cocktails, coffee service, and flavored teas, every detail reflects the same care and quality that define The Three Oaks Hospitality Group.

The Lunch Box combo offers a faster lunch service with access to our menu, featuring salads, half flatbreads, and half sandwiches, for $20. This is a perfect meal for a business meeting or simply catching up with a friend.

Weekend brunch starts early with homemade Cinnamon rolls and quiche, our weekly Chuck’s Pancake specials, breakfast tacos, and enjoy our signature Bloody Mary and mimosas.

Whether it’s business lunch, date night, family brunch, game day, or a casual evening out, 1983 is where neighbors become regulars—and every visit feels like home.
